Hello Coaches and Athletes,

I hope this email finds everyone healthy and coping well under these unusual circumstances. I hope you are doing well and staying safe and that you and your family have been able to adjust to what is the new normal of COVID-19. This past year has been a challenging one for all of us. Due to the lock down, we were not able to launch our 2021 season of Basketball.  However, with adjustments that we made last softball season and the success that followed, we expect more teams to register for our 2021 Softball season.

Registration begins on March 1 2021 -- 10AM. Teams will reserve a placement with a $500 deposit.

We will allow for 8 teams on each day of the week (Mon-Thur). We anticipate teams that sat out last season will not want to sit out another!  Please make sure you discuss with your players what day of the week you would prefer to play on. We will reserve your first DAY to those that apply early and a second day as a back-up. For those that have missed the first come first serve policy, we can hold a day if we have the opportunity for expansion.

ALL TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF 10 PAID MEMBERS BY MAY 1 2021, or risk disqualification. At this time players may only register for ONE team.

How are team fees being adjusted?

Once we have more information on the duration of the season and parks, the team fee will be calculated.

IF COVID-19 rules are still required: No stealing of bases will continue. Masks will be required while on the bench or coaching at the corners. Hand sanitization is a must between innings.

  • Reminder: All pitchers will be required to wear a protective facemask!

Team registration OPEN’s March 1st.  Teams will be able to secure a “Division DAY” slot with a $500 non-refundable deposit. (excluding season cancellation due to COVID) Once a division is full, teams will need to select another day.

Depending on the release of Parks by the City we anticipate a Regular season of 10-12 games. Qualifying teams will have an elimination round and/or playoffs.

 Key Dates:

TEAM Registration:                 Open’s March 1st

Registration discount ends:     April 5TH ($100 extra). Teams need to be paid in FULL by date.

Full Registration Fee TBD       Fee will be consistent as years past. We are a non-profit.

BBC Membership:                   Each team must have 10 paid members by May 1st.

Listed are the divisions and number of Team slots available.  Any teams in excess will be placed on a waiting list or we may open another division if space permits.

Our goal at B’nai Brith Sports of Canada has always been to remain transparent and honest with our communications.

BBSC feels that the Softball season of 2021 will be very important, as members have been patient staying home and dealing with issues surrounding COVID-19. An evening with friends to help relieve the daily stress’ in life is much overdue.

B’NAI BRITH SPORTS OF CANADA: will refund 100% of any deposits, and all team registration fee funds paid for the summer 2021 if the government decides that B’nai Brith Sports of Canada Softball cannot open. As a non-for-profit organization we will always put our members first over and above our own financial situation.
